About Event

UN World Water Day is an annual event celebrated on March 22. The day focuses attention on the importance of freshwater and advocates for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. This day was first formally proposed in Agenda 21 of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro. The purpose of this workshop is to increase knowledge and awareness about potential treatment and reuse of Wastewater which is the theme for 2017. The workshop highlights waste water treatment reuse for urban and industrial sectors. With advancement in innovative technologies and processes the workshop emphasizes on the barriers and suggestions for full scale and with a high urge to have zero liquid discharge in production sectors. The workshop combats on the water management concepts too which is the root cause for waste water generation.
